Article Processing Charge
To sustain the quality of our publication and ensure the broadest possible dissemination of the content, from the 1st of July, 2024, Technobius implemented an Article Processing Charge (APC) model. The APC is a fee charged to authors upon acceptance of their manuscript and covers the costs associated with publication, including peer review, editorial work, typesetting, and online hosting.
APC Structure:
We offer a tiered APC structure based on the authors' institutional affiliations:
- 50 000 KZT for papers by authors affiliated solely with institutions in Kazakhstan.
- 25 000 KZT for papers by authors affiliated with both Kazakhstan institutions and foreign institutions.
- Free of Charge for papers by authors affiliated solely with institutions outside of Kazakhstan.
Payment Process:
Upon acceptance of the manuscript, corresponding authors will receive an invoice with detailed payment instructions. Payment is required before the article is published.
Waivers and Discounts:
While our APC model supports the sustainability of Technobius, we are committed to inclusivity and supporting authors from diverse backgrounds. The Editorial Office may consider a waiver or discount upon receipt of a reasonable request from the authors experiencing financial hardship.
In addition, registered authors who also participated as reviewers can request a 20% discount from APC for each quality review performed, and those who conducted 5 reviews can request free publication upon acceptance of their manuscript. The quality of the review and approval is decided by the Editorial Office.
