About issues: Technobius Special Issue: “Geotechnical Engineering and Materials”

Technobius invites submissions to a Special Issue titled “Geotechnical Engineering and Materials”, dedicated to the 3rd Kazakh–Japanese–Chinese Geotechnical Workshop (XHE3W). More detailed information about XHE3W is provided here.

Workshop dates: 15–17 July 2026
Venue: Faculty of Architecture and Civil Engineering & Geotechnical Institute, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Astana, Kazakhstan
Partner institutions: L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University (Kazakhstan), Technological Institute of Hachinohe (Japan), Xinjiang University (China)

Papers presented at XHE3W and successfully passing peer review and all editorial stages will be published in this Special Issue of Technobius.

Important dates

Abstract submission deadline: 28 February 2026
Full paper submission deadline: 30 March 2026

Scope and topics

We welcome manuscripts within the Special Issue theme and the journal scope (construction and materials science), including (but not limited to):

soil mechanics and site characterization
foundation engineering; pile foundations; soil–structure interaction
ground improvement and soil stabilization
geosynthetics; retaining structures; slopes/embankments
laboratory and field testing; monitoring; geotechnical instrumentation
numerical modelling and simulation in geotechnics
construction materials related to geotechnical applications (performance, durability, innovation)

Dear Colleagues! We are happy to announce that Technobius was included in the List of journals recommended by the Science and Higher Education Quality Assurance Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (click to download). This means that the content published from Vol. 4 No. 2 (2024) onwards will meet the requirements for the publication of the main research results of applicants for PhD and scientific titles, as well as those who implement research projects (programs) under the grant and program-targeted funding.
